Young Angels, A poem I wrote after the deaths of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, CHRISTIAN POETRY

Young Angels

Lord Jesus, You love the child for you created the child in their mothers womb.
But why oh lord. are these girls with you, they did not do anything wrong, they are starting brand new.
How you wiped every tear away from their cheeks, the day they met you and you gave them a warm embrace

You are going to look after them from now on, they are your girls and your their father.
So Lord jesus, Grant them peace and may they remember that we give thanks for their lives.
How you are there for their families, they may not know it but they feel the seeds
Sown by so much compassion and no ounce of greed

These angels in heaven, young angels. How you love them.
They are sitting on the lap of the heavenly king
Snuggled up, warm and secure in this heavenly place
Young angels, how innocent they were.

Lord. when we get sad and cry for these girls
May you comfort us as many grieve for them too
Take away all the bitterness that eats away inside us
May in these times, we turn to you

These young angels are still smiling
Their smiles radiate their face
Loving lord jesus.
May they rest at your place

They skip with joy along the fields, with you by their side
You have so much fun
You whisper in their ears, You are safe my dear children
And here you will stay for all eternity
